About Dr. Sal Meli ND
Dr. Meli is an 'outside-the-box' thinker, avid reader and permaculturalist. He believes that many complex chronic ailments are driven by a multitude of factors, all of them needing to be assessed. Commonly patients are deficient, toxic, over-worked and inflamed. Defence against the burden of infections, chemicals and parasites is lost.
Dr. Meli's approach to healing involves deep exploration of the various inflammatory triggers via lab testing. Treatments are always individualized to address these findings.

Dr. Meli's Experience
Dr. Meli has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine since 2012. He shifted is clinical focus to Lyme Disease after attending several ILADS conferences. He has trained with Dr. Steven Harris MD through the ILADEF physician training program and continues to refine his knowledge through medical conferences and continuing education courses.

Dr. Meli's Collaborative Approach
Dr. Meli works collaboratively with your primary care provider (MD or ND). Ongoing consultation with both your primary physician and Dr. Meli is recommended but not required. For patients who do not have access to a 'Lyme-literate' physician, Dr. Meli will be available for on-going follow up and case management until you've reached your health goals.

Dr. Meli's Accreditations
Dr Meli is a member of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC and is licensed to prescribe pharmaceutical medicines. He has additional training in IV Therapy, Chelation, Ozone, Prolotherapy and PRP. Although these therapies are not available to telemedicine clients, Dr. Meli would be able to recommend and refer to a local practitioner when indicated.

Dr. Meli's Unique Approach Using Genetics
The NutriGenetic Research Institute explores how various environmental factors (ie. toxins, infections) and our individual genetics interact to create bio-chemical vulnerabilities, which invariably lead to disease. Having completed this extensive genetics course, Dr. Meli analyzes his patients' genetic profile to best address their individual needs. Often, the exploration of your unique genetics nuances greatly accelerates the therapeutic process.
