Dr. Meli offers access to leading testing laboratories worldwide, such as ArminLabs, Igenex, Mosaic Diagnostics, Doctor's Data and others. For urine tests, including those for mold toxins, heavy metals, and hormone assessment, convenient test kits can be delivered to your home. For blood tests, Dr. Meli provides requisitions for blood draws at your local LifeLabs facility.

Tests for various infections, mold toxins, heavy metals, genetic SNPs, food sensitivities, immune markers, and other factors are readily available and often recommended to uncover the underlying causes of chronic illness.

We recommend all patients send a copy of all relevant lab testing before the consultation. Afterwards, Dr. Meli will prepare a unique plan for your individualized needs that may include testing, lifestyle changes, supplements, herbal therapies or pharmaceutical agents.

Dr. Sal Meli ND has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine for 12 years, with the last 7 years dedicated to treating complex chronic illnesses, which now comprise the entirety of his practice. His approach is deeply informed by the teachings of experts such as Dr. Steven Harris MD, Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt MD, Dr. Richard Horowitz MD, Dr. Neil Nathan MD and herbalist Stephen Buhner, blending these insights with his core naturopathic medical training.

Dr. Meli's Collaborative Approach
Dr. Meli works collaboratively with your primary care provider (MD or ND), offering support that can range from a major to a minor role, depending on your case. While ongoing consultation with both your primary physician and Dr. Meli is recommended, it is not required. For patients without access to a 'Lyme-literate' physician, Dr. Meli provides ongoing follow-up and case management until their health goals are achieved.
Dr. Meli also facilitates collaboration for blood testing, physical exams, and in-office treatments. Treatment plans are flexible and tailored to your needs, with adjustments made based on whether you have access to local in-office treatments.
Dr. Meli's Accreditations
Dr. Meli is a member of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC and is licensed to prescribe pharmaceutical medicines. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Medicine (CAND), the British Columbia Association of Naturopathic Medicine (BCND), the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), and the Global Lyme Alliance (GLA).
He has additional training in IV Therapy, Chelation, Ozone, Prolotherapy, and PRP. Although these therapies are not available to telemedicine clients, Dr. Meli would be able to recommend and refer to a local practitioner when indicated.

How does it work?
Step 1: Book your initial consultation. Choose either:
Initial 60 minutes appointment - to start working with Dr. Meli (recommended)
Initial 75 minutes appointment - for additional time (recommended for complex cases)
Free 10 minute Meet & Greet - to first meet Dr. Meli and determine if he is a good fit for your needs
Step 2: Upon booking an initial appointment, you will receive an email with an intake form. It must be completely filled out before the consultation. If you have any questions about this form, email reception at email@example.com.
Step 3: Send a copy of all relevant lab test results and notes to our office: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 4: Just before your appointment time, you will receive an email with a link to join the video call. If you're not logged in for the video call, Dr. Meli will call you at the phone number provided. Dr. Meli makes every effort to be on time but if he is running late, he will still contact you. Please be patient. Your appointment length will not be cut short due to any delays. Be prepared with your questions and be ready to take notes.
During or after the consult, a treatment plan will be created and emailed to you. If indicated, arrangements must be made with your local practitioner to acquire laboratory testing. Test kits will be mailed to you if required. Supplements, herbal therapies and pharmaceutical prescriptions will be sent directly to your home.
Step 5: You will be sent a secure payment link with invoice based on the actual length of your appointment. (ie, if you appointment runs 15 shorter or longer than scheduled, the fee billed will be different than the scheduled appointment fee). Any laboratory tests and treatments will be billed separately. Your receipt will be emailed to you. Note: Direct billing to insurance providers is not available at this time, however you are encouraged to claim the consult under your own extended health care plan.
